Prof. Sara Sun Beale received her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Michigan. After a judicial clerkship and service in the United States Department of Justice, Prof. Beale joined the faculty of Duke University School of Law in Durham, NC. Her principal academic interests concern the grand jury, the federal government’s role in the criminal justice system, and how public attitudes regarding crime produce changes in criminal laws and procedural rules.
