Prof. Paul Marcus
Professor of Law, College of William and Mary
Paul Marcus is the Haynes Professor of Law at the College of William and Mary. Formerly the law dean at the University of Arizona, his teaching and research interests are in the criminal justice and comparative law areas. He has spoken to many judicial, bar and university groups in the U.S., and has lectured and taught in quite a number of other nations. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law. Prior to going into teaching, Professor Marcus clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and practiced law in Los Angeles. He is the author of several books in the criminal justice area and has written numerous articles in the field as well. A member of the American Law Institute, Professor Marcus was also elected by the full 180 U.S. law school membership to be President of the Association of American Law Schools. He completed his term as President of the AALS a few years ago.
