Prof. Adedeji Adekunle

Professor Adedeji Adekunle is the lead faculty of the Juritrust Centre For Socio-Legal Research And Documentation, a research and training Centre for lawyers and Judges. Professor Adekunle has a rich background in the public sector having facilitated legal advice to several Agencies, Ministries and inter-ministerial bodies as Senior Special Assistant to the Hon. Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice advising on various aspects of law and policy. He has also been at the forefront of law reform and continuing legal education in Nigeria. He was Secretary of the 2004 Law Revision Committee of the Laws of the Federation, Secretary to the Panel on the Implementation of Justice Reforms, 2011-14 and Chairman of the Consultation Committee on the Freedom of Information Act 2013. He was between 2014 and 2019 the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies – Nigeria’s apex public institution for legal research and studies.
Professor Adekunle was in 2017 conferred with the rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and also the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.
