The International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law is pleased to announce that the 2020 conference will be held from July 13 - 16 in Vancouver, Canada. Please visit and register at the Conference Website.

Conference Theme
The ISRCL 2020 Conference focuses on sentencing, corrections and innovative approaches to criminal justice. The theme "Thinking Beyond the Bars" encompasses new visions for resolving criminal law problems, including:

• Specialized courts: Indigenous courts, mental health courts, drug courts, community courts
• The use of neuroscience, artificial intelligence and genetics in the sentencing process
• Youth justice sentencing
• Role of police and diversion
• Victims’ rights
• Implicit bias in sentencing

Presentation Proposals
To advance the themes of the conference, the Society invites persons interested in presenting a paper, participating in a plenary or workshop, or who wish to propose a workshop to submit a short abstract or workshop concept for consideration by the organizing committee. The deadline for submission of proposals is March 1st, 2020. It is hoped that the most scholarly of the papers presented will be published in the Society’s journal, Criminal Law Forum, subject to the Forum’s usual peer review.
